We are seeking a dynamic Motion Designer who is as excited as we are about our work and about telling our story. This position is located in New York City.
As a multi-talented Motion Designer, you bridge interaction, motion, and graphic design to deliver the overall visual design of diverse interactive media. This hybrid, the hands-on designer will have an understanding of emerging technologies, non-traditional interfaces, and physical spaces, and a portfolio that illustrates an ability to bring visual excellence to generative, responsive, and other interactive experiences. As a core part of a project team, the Motion Designer will work within the studio team on the development and execution of our visual design in all forms.
Core responsibilities include; create story-driven motion design for interactive experiences on the web, mobile, exhibits and large-scale installations.motion graphics for web & video, 2D/3D animations, interactive, print, and digital experiences, deliver design and 2D/3D animations for video and film production, directly contribute to the conceptual development of projects with the studio team, create materials for proposals and new business responses, work collaboratively with the technical and production team, provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables, contribute to the culture and development of the studio, balance visual design and UX, and build prototypes to illustrate ideas.
Desired skills and experiences include; two years of experience in a Motion Graphics related position, a command of the craft of design, consistently achieving compelling aesthetic solutions, strong knowledge of the design process in order to develop and deliver complex projects, expert proficiency in relevant design programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects are required; 3ds Max and Cinema 4D are desired, the ability to generate and refine ideas into thoughtful, provocative concepts, the ability to articulate ideas both verbally and in writing clearly and concisely, the capacity to rapidly respond to feedback from the Creative Director, the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, an outstanding portfolio, a passion for design, technology, and art, and experience with projects that contain physical components is not required but preferred.
